Welcome to Halloween Home Ideas

Welcome to Halloween Home Ideas. I love all things Halloween and know there are others out there just like me. I am creative by nature, and crafty by choice. I believe in the "Sixty Days of Halloween" and put my Halloween decor up as early as September 1st. Over the years I have amassed quite the collection of magazines and books on Halloween crafts, decorations, designs, and party ideas. I have created this page to share some of my favorite Halloween creations and provide ideas and instructions on how to bring the very essence of Halloween to your home at minimal cost. I will update photos and information throughout the year, so keep your eyes glued to this page and check it often for festive ideas. Enjoy!

Skeleton & Skull Friends

Using a 12 inch skeleton purchased at a dollar store and a styrofoam skull from a craft store, create dressed up friends to sit atop tables or on a shelf. I made a fancy top hat for the skull embellishing a small top hat purchased at a costume shop. My dressed up lady's outfit was created using scrap fabric. I used a half inch slice of a toilet paper roll covered with a circular black velvet scrap to create the hat. The beads on the hat are actually sewing pins, which I used to secure the fabric to the slice of cardboard.
